Hi Eemah,
I heard through the grapevine that you send out a madrichim email update a few times a month. Could you please add me to the list? Lori Ginsburg also mentioned that you are organizing a Madrichim reunion. Sounds like fun!
All is well here in San Francisco. My husband Brett and I were down in San Diego visiting my family for Rosh Hashanah. It was nice to be at services at Beth Israel and see some familiar faces!
Hope all is well with you and your family.
Love, Hillary Weiner (maiden name - Small)
Dear Helene,
You sound so happy and contented in your latest e-mails. Isn't wonderful
being a grandma and having your children settled in with their own partners!
All is well here. I'm oversubscribed with activities - as usual but am
meeting lots of new people.
Last night Franny Lizerbram called me. There was an article about me in our
Temple Bulletin as I am on the Board. She read that I had been involved at
Temple Beth Israel and called. I didn't remember her, nor did she remember
me, but I did remember Eric.
I mentioned your correspondence with former B.I. students and she wanted to
be put on the list. Her e-mail is FDaltonmd@earthlink.net. She is a family
practice doctor with two children. She lives in Piedmont and her two
brothers live in the San Diego area near their parents. Life goes on.
Take care. Love, Arlene (Saidman, Mother of Esther, Rachel and Steve)
.
Shalom EEmah!
It's Franny Lizerbram (Dalton) up here in the Bay Area. Let's seemy Bat Mitzvah was 1976, so I guess I was confirmed in 1979? The photo was in the old temple hall for the longest time. I was reading our Temple Bulletin (Sinai of Oakland) and noted Arlene Saidman's board member bio. I called to say "hi" to another fellow San Diegan and she hooked me up with your website/e-mail. What funa blast from the past.
The news on this end, is that I'm married to Marcus, and have two kids, Lana 10, and Kyle 7. I opened a private practice in family medicine on College Ave. in Oakland. Most of my patients are from the "latte crowd" being that this is a trendy, boutiquey, young family neighborhood. I've loved practicing in my newly remodeled "storefront" office since June. (Although the HMO stuff can drag you down sometimes!)
Both my brothers, Eric and Jeff now live in the San Diego area. (I don't have their contact info. with me, yet.) Eric is a radiologist, lives in Carlsbad, drives a Jeep, still surfs, and is married to Sharon and has 3 kids, Noah, Jenna and Sierra. Jeff lives in Carmel Valley, works in computer networking, is married to Andrea who teaches deaf children, and they have one son, Ryan.
Over the years, I've had rare contacts with the Karliner, Kroll, and Gross families. Hopefully this website will put more of us in touch. Please drop us a line if you come up to Northern California!
L'Shana Tova to you and your family-
Franny Lizerbram (Dalton)
Hi Eemah,
I just wanted to tell you that I love getting your email
updates. I am coming home to San Diego for Rosh
Hashanah so maybe I will run into you after the morning
service outside the side door ... I always seem to see
you there. It has been a long time because for the past
two years I have been in New York in business school.
I hope I get to see you!
Love,
Lori Ginsburg
Dear Eemah,
I won't be able to attend a reunion the first weekend of August 2003.
My nephew, Jeremy Rozansky, will be a Bar Mitzvah on that date! (So if
you go ahead, no one from the Rozansky family will be able to attend.)
I would be interested in knowing other dates, however!
Deborah Rozansky
Dear Eemah,
I've been married to Scott for 16 years...we are the parents of Kendall (age
12), Kyle (age 12), and Tara (age 4)...we live in Cardiff, California, with
our Golden retriever, Bullseye...I work in math and science curriculum
development...Claire is "Bubbie" to my children, and she lives in
Encinitas...she retired from the religious school in 1994, and has enjoyed
her retirement with some travel and being with her grandchildren...
Thanks also for visiting her. I know she'll enjoy seeing all of you.
Much love,
Rhea (Toor)
Dear Eemah,
I was hoping you could Shabbat Shalom this out to people and hopefully get some
money generated. I just love the Jewish quarter in Prague and it's so vital to
preserve it for obvious reasons. So, this is basically an email trying to get
>money for the restoration projects. Thanks! Love Dara (Wolochow)
