Shabbat Shalom!
We are waiting for the arrival of our third grandchild….It’s sooooooooo exciting!
Lots of Madrichim babies on the scene in the last few months:
Parents are Michael Coleman, Ken Perlman, Erin Graff and Robin Sternfield!
Hope all is well with all of you!
Love,
Eemah
Enjoy the following!
Hi Eemah,
How are you? Happy New Year! I just had to write you to tell you how unbelievably beautiful and adorable your grandchildren are. I have never seen a picture of Daniel's kids until you sent those out yesterday.
They are SO cute. Really just beautiful. Thank you
for sending the pictures.
I am happy that things are going so well for you all down there. Things up here in SF are moving along happily, but nothing to report for your email updates.
I'll be sure to let you know if that ever changes!
Say hi to David, Lani and Dan for me! Take care and see you soon,
Dana (Newman)
Amid much fanfare, Samantha's baby sister, Taylor Lori, joined the Coleman clan this afternoon. Mommy (Karen), Daddy (MIchael) and baby (a month early - 7 lbs. 1 oz, 19 1/2 inches long) seem to be doing quite well. Taylor will look forward to meeting each one of you!
Eemah
It’s wonderful to read the news of so many of the Madrichim family. My wife Madeleine and I are in San Francisco. Fortunately and remarkably, we live only a few blocks from my brother Jim and his clan. I’ve been in marketing for the past 20 years or so and Madeleine is the curator at the contemporary art museum here. I’m also involved with the marketing committee for the SF Contemporary Jewish Museum, which is moving toward a 2008 opening of a very impressive new building designed by Daniel Libeskind. All the best,
Tom (Shapiro)

Charles Schultz’s Philosophy
The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the "Peanuts" comic strip. You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just read the e-mail straight through and you'll get the point.
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winner for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.
How did you do?
The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.
Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:
1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
Easier?
The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care.
Pass this on to those people who have made a difference in your life.
"Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." (Charles Schultz)
