Hi and Shabbat Shalom!!
We have returned to reality....
Almost........
Our trip was a dream come true!
Peru.....Machu Picchu....the Sacred Valley.......Cusco.....
We felt like we were in a time warp........visiting ages past.....
and then on to Equador.......the people....the markets.......and most amazing of all......
the Galapagos!!
We hiked and snorkeled every day........swam with penguins, giant turtles.......sea lions, dolphins, rays, iguanas..... and of course magnificent schools of exotic fish.......and,yes, there are really blue footed boobies(birds) ........actually, their feet are a bright turquoise color......
The animals and sea creatures have no fear of humans and so they never run or fly away when approached.....actually some, like the sea lions, penguins and dolphins actually come up close to play!!
I said the "Yotzer" every day!
"How manifold are your works oh God......in wisdom you have made them all.......the earth is full of your creations!"
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could use this trusting, peaceful place as a model for our world?
Shabbat Shalom and a special wish for Peace in Israel as we celebrate Yom Ha-atzmaut!
